Chase Private Client requirements

Chase Private Client requirements come down to one number and one measurement rule: $150,000 in combined qualifying balances, measured as an average beginning day balance across the statement period — the average of what the account held at the start of each day in the cycle, not a single snapshot and not a simple monthly average.

That $150,000 is not only cash. Chase counts deposit accounts, CDs and retirement accounts, plus certain investment and annuity products through JPMorganChase and its affiliates, toward the line — so a linked J.P. Morgan investment balance moves a reader toward Private Client exactly as cash in checking does.

What counts toward it: Chase deposit accounts, CDs and retirement accounts, plus certain investment and annuity products through JPMorganChase and its affiliates. How it is measured: Average beginning day balance across the statement period.
Not established: Chase Sapphire Checking — the $75,000 rung — is closed. Chase's own page says it "is no longer available for new account openings", and it appears in the dated Accounts No Longer For Sale disclosure effective 14 June 2026. That removes the only Chase step between $15,000 and $150,000. A credit card rewards uplift and an auto loan discount are not mentioned on the Private Client benefits page and are not claimed here.

What the ladder used to include

Chase's relationship tiers are not continuous between $15,000 and $150,000. Chase Sapphire Checking, which used to sit at $75,000, is closed: Chase's own page says the account "is no longer available for new account openings," and it appears in the bank's dated Accounts No Longer For Sale disclosure, effective 14 June 2026. That removed the only step between the $15,000 Premier Plus Checking line and $150,000 Private Client — so anyone searching for the $75,000 tier today is searching for an account Chase no longer opens.

What Chase does not publish

Chase's Private Client benefits page does not mention a credit card rewards uplift or an auto loan rate discount at this tier, so neither is claimed here. The next step up, J.P. Morgan Private Client, only applies at $1,000,000 — as far above Private Client as Private Client is above zero.
